Transport services (excl. Waste transport). Non-scheduled passenger transport. Public road transport services. Hire of passenger transport vehicles with driver. Hire of buses and coaches with driver. Taxi services. Special-purpose road passenger-transport services. Hire of passenger cars with driver. Swindon Borough Council is procuring a range of passenger transport services which are broken down into five schedules covering different types/modes of transport.Each schedule has a number of Lots broken down into either Locality areas of Swindon Borough Council or specific transport routes/services. In total there are 25 Lots. This has been designed in order to offer maximum flexibility and efficiency due to the services required.The schedules are made up of:– Schedule 5a Public Transport Services, (Lots 1 – 3)– Schedule 5b Dial a Ride & Community Transport, (Lots 4 and 5)– Schedule 5c for School / College bus and coach services, (Lots 6 and 7)– Schedule 5d for School, College, Day Centre and Social Care services for Minibus (Lots 8 – 16)– Schedule 5e for School, College, Day Centre and Social Care services for Taxis / Private Hire Vehicles, (Lots 17 – 25)The Agreement period will commence from 1.9.2013 until 31.8.2016 with an option to extend for a further 2 years up to a maximum total 5 year contract, subject to contract performance and budget availability.Documents can be downloaded from the South West Portal at the following URL:https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/procontract/swindon_contract.nsf/frm_contract_synopsis?openForm&contract_id=CONTRACT-SWCE-92YDGA&from=&loginAll tender clarifications will be posted on the Supplying The South West Portal portal and bidders will be required to check on a regular basis.
