This procurement event relates to procurement of switchgear and associated equipment and services. National Grid (NG) are seeking to procure the nominated equipment and for certain lots, options and opportunities to cover aligned installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities. NG is seeking to appoint suppliers with capacity and capability to deliver switchgear and associated equipment and services. This procurement has been broken down into lots to best reflect the spread of capacity and capability in the market. NG typically has several projects requiring switchgear equipment which can vary in location / site type.The contractual arrangement will comprise of UK and US framework agreements with call off contracts. The contract principles paper (see VI.3) describes those arrangements at a high level. The estimated total value in II.1.5 includes the US lots, the estimated values of which have been converted from USD to GBP at a rate of £1 = $1.33.
