We are looking for suppliers who can provide property and support housingservices for vulnerable people with complex needs. The properties must be in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and willneed to be available within 6 to 9 months.The service comprises the following:Property 1 - 11 bedrooms with shared facilities (for men and women); andProperty 2 - 9 self-contained flats (for women only)The Supported Housing Service for People with Complex Needs is a preventative homelessservice. It is for vulnerable people aged 18 and over with housing and support needs. Theservice will provide safe, accommodation-based housing support services for people who areDeemed to be socially excluded, this includes:• people with complex needs,• people with substance misuse needs,• people with multiple needs, including mental health needs,• people with challenging behaviour(s).It will provide housing-related support services with the purpose of developing or sustainingan individual's capacity to maintain their accommodation and live independently in thecommunity. Residents may be leaving institutional care such as hospital or prison, be streethomeless, threatened with homelessness or living in accommodation that is not meetingheir identified needs.The service will also be used as a 'step up' or 'step down' from other supportedaccommodation, where appropriate. Candidates should be able to demonstrate theirorganisation's past experience and/or existing arrangements by giving examples of providinghigh-quality support for vulnerable adults. Candidates will also be required to provide anexplanation of their organisation's capability and/or past experience of providing housingmanagement in a supported housing setting or similar environment.
