Wrexham County Borough Council is carrying out market engagement in relation to the Provision of Supported Living for Disability Services. Following last’s year event on May 20th, Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) would like to meet with Providers to share with the market our ideas of how Supported Living for Disability Services in Wrexham will be commissioned in the future and welcome your ideas of how we can work together to achieve these goals. The primary aim of this exercise is to understand the market and the options available to the Council.Themes for the day:•Development of MPL•Discuss draft Service Specification•Review suggestions from the work done on the 20th May around creative ways to support people by reducing reliance on paid support.oUse of Assistive Technology to support individuals to more independentoSupporting individuals safely at nightoBetter use of community resources•Impact of Employment Legislation on budgetsIt is anticipated that moving forward, a 4 year ‘Supported Living Framework Agreement’ will be put in place which enables providers to register on the framework in order to put forward for any new work. The framework will be split into service areas by client groups including specialisms e.g. autism, BSL. Providers will be able to express an interest for one or more service area(s) and will need to evidence their experience in supporting individuals with enhanced needs:•24 hour support•Non 24 hour support•Community Based Support•Direct PaymentsThis event is designed to update the market on our commissioning intentions and more specifics around the requirements needed to be become an approved provider with WCBC and the timescales for this.The event will be a drop in session and will be held on: May 12th 2016 at Plas Pentwyn, Castle Road, Coedpoeth, LL11 3NA. There will be a morning and afternoon session: 9.30 – 12.30 and 13:00 - 16:00.Please note: By Expressing an Interest in this event you are not confirming your place at the event.
