Programme of inspections of Accredited Support Providers in receipt of Supporting People Revenue Grant The Welsh Assembly Government wishes to commission a panel of inspectors to undertake a programme of inspections of Accredited Support Providers (ASP’s) in receipt of Supporting People Revenue Grant (SPRG). The contract will be for an initial period of one year with the option to extend for a further year.Supporting People is the policy and funding framework for housing-related support to enable people across all tenures to maintain independent living. The programme was introduced on 1st April 2003. SPRG is paid directly from the Welsh Assembly Government and there is a statutory duty to supervise and control the work of ASP’s. An inspection regime has been established to examine and confirm compliance of individual ASPs with the SPRG Grant Conditions.The inspection process will take the form of three phases:•Phase 1 – Pre-Inspection•Phase 2 – On Site Inspection•Phase 3 – Production of a ReportThe Assembly Government has established a detailed SPRG Inspection Process which all Inspectors will be expected to follow.Expressions of interest to become an Inspector are being invited and will be evaluated on completion of the pre-qualification questionnaire. The contract will be for 1 year with the option to extend for a further year.
