County Hall is designed for a workforce of approximately 1,800 staff. The building is due to be fully vacated and decommissioned approximately March 2025 in preparation for demolition and the redevelopment of the site. As a consequence, the building has a significant amount of surplus office equipment. Having already closed floors 4 & 5 we are in a position to remove a significant amount of furniture immediately; (approx. 50 tonnes in weight.) To fulfil our Corporate Social Responsibility, we need to ensure that the as far as reasonably practicable the surplus office equipment is re-used, repurposed and/or recycled. We require evidence in relation to social value, carbon and circular economy benefit along with testimonials and photos from the provider in relation to the furniture from County Hall.
