Guy's and St. Thomas NHS Foundation Trust are building a new, state of the art Cancer Centre on the Guy's Hospital site at London Bridge. The centre will be a hub for south east London, providing specialist cancer services, training, development and research. This will also help us to improve both cancer treatments and outcomes. We currently provide cancer services in a number of different locations within Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals. Most cancer care will move to the new Cancer Centre at Guy's, although some services, research and training will continue to be provided in other areas of our hospitals. These will be closely linked to the new Cancer Centre at Guy's Hospital. This tender considers the provision of imaging and radiology equipment for the new Cancer Centre including a PET CT scanner, an MRI scanner, two CT scanners, an x-ray room, two mammography units and three ultrasound scanners. The scope of the contract will be to supply the equipment and any accessory items required, facilitate any fit out and enabling works within the new Cancer Centre to complete final fitment of specific equipment, and to offer options for a maintenance contract to the Trust for the lifespan of the equipment. Please note that there may be a requirement to arrange a turnkey installation for one of the mammography units within the current room which is outside of the new Cancer Centre. The Cancer Centre is being built at the moment by the Trust's construction contractors, Laing O' Rourke. It is envisaged that the building will be handed over to the Trust in April 2016 and that the Trust and its contractors will assume responsibility for commissioning of equipment within the Cancer Centre between April 2016 and September 2016. The centre is due to open at the end of September 2016.The tender for the imaging and radiology equipment will be run by Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in relation to the Cancer Centre project only and will not be open to other purchasers. The tender will be run by the Trust through the Summer and Autumn of 2015 and it is envisaged that contract award will be achieved by late 2015 or early 2016.The tender will be split into lots for each type of equipment and prospective equipment suppliers will be asked to offer a proposal for a turnkey installation where applicable.Bidders will have the opportunity to put forward proposals for some or all of the lots. There will not be a limit to the number of lots that each bidder can win. The Trust reserves the right to award in whole or part or not to award at all.The nature of the lots, award criteria and evaluation methodology are set out within the tender documents all of which can be accessed via the tenderbox on the Delta e-tendering system.J27Y4353JS— https://www.delta-esourcing.com/respond/J27Y4353JS
