Descriptions

What we are procuringSupply and installation of linked alarms between Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital utilising Cortech Datalog 5 Integrated Management System.BackgroundCwm Taf University Health Board are currently modernising their Telecoms infrastructure culminating in the centralisation of hospital switchboards early in 2018.Currently there are two main switchboards in the Health Board. One based at the Royal Glamorgan hospital (RGH) in Llantrisant and the other in Prince Charles hospital (PCH) Merthyr Tydfil. The latter being the final location for centralised switchboard services. There are several alarm panels in RGH switchboard room that are monitored by the operators and responded to accordingly. To enable the switchboard centralisation project to proceed a solution is required to relay these alarms to PCH switchboard.Current PositionCortech Developments Ltd are currently the Health Boards preferred systems supplier for the development of the Security Centre’s at both RGH and PCH sites. Cortech have worked closely with the assistant Director of Facilities to provide a strategic approach to the future expansion and development of these services. The integration of alarm systems is an essential part of the Switchboard centralization project and this development, whilst ensuring that PCH switchboard will be able to monitor, accept and take the necessary actions in the event of alarm activation at premises in the south of the Health Board will also provide a key step along the way to enable the future development of the Security Centre’s themselves.Standardised ApproachA key requirement is to ensure a high level of standardization across the Health Board – this approach ensures that the future integration of alarm and security systems will enable the Health Board to continue to develop the Security Centre Strategy based around Cortech as a common platform, reducing potential maintenance costs and providing a key ‘partnership approach’.It also minimizes the risks associated with differing systems, provides a clear path for future development, provides for a single point of contact and reduces maintenance costs accordingly.Tender requirementsBuilding upon the existing Cortech Datalog 5 SMS baby tagging and security system - companies are invited to provide a solution which will enable the RGH switchboard alarm panels to be replicated at PCH switchboard. The solution must allow for the integration of the PCH Security Centre allowing the transfer of control of the Datalog alarms between the Switchboard and Security Centre as required. The solution will enable the various panels below to be replicated at PCH switchboard -1.1 x Honeywell Fire Alarm panel, (Vigilon software and Winmag Graphic site display on PC) (points 100)2.3 x Medical Gas panels Madaes & Drager (DP15) (points 45)3.1 x ADT (UPS) server alarm A & B (points 2)4.1 x Pharmacy Panic Alarm (points 1)5.1 x Wards Panic alarm panel (points 35)6.1 x LTHW Boiler Panel (6 boilers – the ability to remotely isolate is required) (points 36)7.Steam Boiler Panel (2 boilers – the ability to remotely isolate is required)(points 12)
