Descriptions
The objectives of this task are to: - Minimise risk during the transition from the current task to the new task of the overall programme, contract window timescales, technical input and continuation of the early start tasks for "Other Assets", - Provide National Highways with the assurance that both National Highways and the DBFO Companies' obligations under the DBFO Contracts are fulfilled, including day-to-day operations throughout the contract completion period, - Maintain a nationally consistent approach to completion of the DBFO Contracts, - Ensure that the DBFO Contract timescales are adhered to, - Provide National Highways with technical support over the remainder of the DBFO Contract periods including: o Handback of the Project Facilities in accordance with the Contract and Handback Requirements, o Takeback of the Project Facilities by the receiving Maintaining Area/Network Operator, and o Day-to-day management of the Contract. - Ensure risks associated with Contract Completion are identified early and mitigated, - Ensure residual risks are identified and communicated effectively to National Highways, - Maintain collaborative relationships with the DBFO Companies and minimise the potential for contractual disputes, - Ensure that the Renewal Works required to satisfy the Handback Requirements are delivered within the remaining Contract periods, - Assist with minimising the impact of Renewal Works on Customers, - To ensure a seamless handover of operations from the DBFO Companies to the new Network Operators on expiry of the DBFO Contracts
