T0140 DfT TLOT10092 2021 mobile phone use by vehicle drivers and seat belt compliance surveys
Descriptions
The Department for Transport (DfT) invites proposals for undertaking survey work on vehicle driver hand-held mobile phone use and seat belt compliance by drivers and vehicle occupants. From the survey data, the Department intends to produce new estimates of the current level of hand-held mobile phone use by drivers to assess compliance with current mobile phone legislation and seat belt wearing rates. The project will support and inform policy development, and potentially assist in a communications strategy. It follows on from previous surveys which have been commissioned, the latest being 2017 for which the published report can be viewed here - https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/seatbelt-and-mobile-phone-use-surveys-2017.
