T97(16) (E&FM) Business Continuity Management System

Descriptions

Business Continuity Management software will bring a wide range of benefits to the organisation and will help to deliver a consistent approach to the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) across the entire structure as detailed in the endorsed Business Continuity and Incident Management Policy. This will help the University at College and PSU level to realise its own established goals for the BCMS and deliver significant administrative burden and cost reduction through the delivery of an automated system that requires minimal frontline input. The system must provide rapid return on investment as the functionality delivered through the software and will reduce the need for a large central Business Continuity team and empower College and PSU management to take control of their own documentation and respond to a significant business disruption when it occurs. When an incident occurs, those with responsibilities within the BCMS will be empowered to invoke their own plans, communicate effectively using a variety of incident management tools and recover from the disruption and then document the response and return to normality.BCM software will enable the organisation to meet and measure its compliance against a variety of standards and will be based on the best-practice for Business Continuity Management namely ISO 22301, which is the University’s mandated goal standard in the Business Continuity and Incident Management Policy. The system will provide the organisation with a new and comprehensive capability to anticipate, assess, prevent, prepare, respond and recover to serious business disruptions which will help to safeguard the organisation during times of crisis.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
