Due to the geographical size of the organisation, Food Safety is monitored by 6 different Local Authority, Environmental Health Teams. This does not allow standardisation for BCUHB in relation to policy and process.BCUHB Facilities Management Services are looking to introduce a Primary Authority Scheme to allow one local authority to have custodial responsibility for all BCUHB Food Safety. This will allow a standardised suite of documents to be used in all Health Board food preparation facilities.
