Descriptions
The Belfast Waterfront Conference & Exhibition Centre (BWCEC) project is the flagship scheme within the Belfast City Council (BCC) Investment programme 2013-2015 and consists of a 29 500 000 GBP extension to the existing Waterfront Hall and is co-funded by BCC (11 000 000 GBP); NITB (4 100 000 GBP) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 14 400 000 GBP and is currently under construction with a scheduled opening planned for late spring 2016.The BWCEC is positioned alongside the existing Waterfront Hall making maximum use and integration of the existing facility. Extending outwards alongside the River lagan, the BWCEC extension will more than double the size of the existing venue and will allow Belfast to compete in the global association conference and exhibition market. It is estimated the investment will provide an estimated £45million economic benefit to the City by 2020.The overarching aim of the project is to position Belfast among the premier European conference destinations attracting National and International Conference Business.The construction project presents an opportunity not only to install the newest state of the art systems but also to upgrade existing technical facilities sufficient to allow Belfast Waterfront to represent itself in the market as a leader in the field of conference technology. This project will be for the supply and delivery of furniture.We reserve the right not to award in lots due to the continuity requirements of the products in line with the output specification of BWCEC.
