Merthyr Tydfil CBC have the following requirement;1.Creation of a Regeneration Strategy and Action Plan for the Taff Bargoed Valley. Considerations to be made on the following:•Evaluation of the current physical and economic environments, taking into consideration the following topics; Governance/ Community Ties/Partnership Working, Economic Development, Tourism and Destination Management, Support for Business Enterprise, Events and Marketing, Health & Wellbeing, buildings/Physical Regeneration, Housing, Provision and local services, Transport, and Community Hubs.2.Creation of an Action Plan identifying key projects for development & implementation. Considerations to be made with regards to short, medium and long term objectives.3. Carry out an evaluation of the existing strategy. Considerations to be made on the following:•Achievements and best practice•What was not accomplished and why4.Governance - Carry out a full review of the current Taff Bargoed Regeneration Partnership with considerations made on the following:•Review of progress made by current Partnership•Review of all local organisations and community groups and the identification of Key Partners/Stakeholders who can act as the lead on the new action plan.5. Pavilion, Parc Taff Bargoed – Provide a full feasililty study on the potential options and opportunities to redevelop the building. Considerations to be made on future usage and sustainability .6. Carry out Progress Reviews of the action plan and its implementation.
