Descriptions

The contract is to secure the provision of the following in Point of Care Testing in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical devices:— Instant urine screening devices;— Instant oral saliva screening devices;— Laboratory based urine and saliva sample analysis.The supplier will source, quality assure and supply devices for use within the Derby City Substance Misuse Treatment Services. The devices will be used to support clinical decision making, around the treatment interventions offered to those who misuse drugs and alcohol. Therefore accuracy and reliability of both product and supply source are critical to the requirement for these goods.The supplier will demonstrate compliance with all relevant European and National standards for the provision of IVD devices. They will hold a recognised quality assurance standard.All products must be:— Licensed for the indication of the proposal;— MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) approved; or— EMEA (European Medicines Agency) approved.Contract is for the initial term of 3 years up to 135 000 GBP (annual value 45 000 GBP). Total value over maximum 5 year period is 225 000 GBP.
