The University of Sussex are seeking a partner to design, supply, install and commission performance and educational technical systems in a professional standard flexible theatre, 3 smaller performance studios and various interconnected spaces in the newly refurbished grade 2* listed ACCA building.Tenderer's design must support a wide variety of performance styles, educational uses, international companies and integrate with both the existing systems and the listed buildings fabric.The University would welcome experienced SME's in providing this type of work to form a consortium to deliver and coordinate their solution.The University is looking to invest in educational, theatrical and performance systems to ensure that the building as a whole, and individual spaces within it, provide a flexible and professional environment which will support a wide range of uses.There are 7 key spaces within the Centre:— 3 circular towers (Towers 1, 2 and 3),— a meeting room,— a studio,— a ground gallery and— a multi-configurable auditorium.The spaces have been intra-and-inter connected via IT, AV and lighting connection panels via IT and AV rooms.In the 3 towers, the studio and the gallery, equipment will be installed to support educational and performance functions appropriate to their size and shape. It is anticipated a wide range of devices including Windows/Mac/Linux laptops, iOS/Android tablets and phones will be used.
