Four Authorities in SE Wales are collaboratively inviting expressions of interest for a Technical Surveys Database Management service. The Technical Survey Database Management service will include both individual site work and area work packages, providing technical survey database management information to the Contracting Authority, in line with the service as detailed within Appendix 1 Scope of Service. The contract scope includes management of a contractor delivering scanner survey information across the whole highway network (several thousand Km.). It will also involve delivery of associated reports to the client in either electronic or hard copy format for use with clients’ asset management systems. The measurement of surface characteristics by specialist contractors may be carried out in several tranches. The database management function will focus on the effective co-ordination of contractor activities, assembling data for client review.Further information will be provided in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
