Milton Parish Council - Tender for Grounds Maintenance contract. 1st August 2024 to 31st March 2027 Invitation to Tender The Parish Council is responsible for the upkeep of the village and its facilities. This is in conjunction with Milton Community Centre who are responsible for the maintenance of the sports and recreation sites across the village. The Parish Council is inviting tenders in relation to the ground works requirements throughout the village which includes: •General village ground works. •Open space grass cutting and verges. •Hedge and shrub maintenance. •Weed control. •Milton Cemetery. •Sports field maintenance. •Recreation grounds. The contract is suitable for SME's with previous village maintenance experience. Prospective Contractors should ensure that they are completely familiar with the nature and extent of the obligations to be accepted by them if their tender is accepted. Please contact the Clerk to Milton Parish Council for the full specification, drawings and supporting contract documentation. If you require further information for preparation of your tender or wish to arrange a site visit, please contact the Parish Clerk on 01223 861447 or clerk@miltonvillage.org.uk two weeks before the closing date. The Prices submitted must indicate the rate for each element of the Contract. Submission of the tender can be submitted either by mail or by hand. Please submit the tender in a sealed envelope clearly marked 'Grounds Maintenance Tender' and sent to the Parish Clerk at Milton Parish Council, Parish Council Office, Coles Road, Milton, Cambridge, CB24 6BL. The closing date is 3pm on 4/7/2024 LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED Please note that the Parish Council is not obliged to accept the lowest tender. The Council's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into on the reasons why a tender has been rejected. Please note that it is the responsibility of the tenderer to study the specification and requirements before submitting the tender. The successful tender together with the Council's written acceptance shall form a binding agreement in the terms of the Contract documents.
