Inspire is an independent organisation with charitable status which is contracted by Nottinghamshire County Council to deliver a range of local authority services, including operation of public libraries. The contract offered is to provide a regular and reliable courier service between all the library service points in Nottinghamshire, but excluding those inside the boundary of the City of Nottingham.The procurement exercise is being carried out by Nottinghamshire County council on behalf of Inspire. Any contract will be between Inspire and the successful contractor. Inspire will be responsible for the contract management of the contractAll existing staff currently employed on courier operations were transferred from Nottinghamshire County Council on 1.4.2016 and are employed directly by Inspire on local government terms and conditions. The successful bidder would be expected to accept the transfer of some staff on those same terms and conditions.
