The Sêr-SAM program (Science and Engineering Research: Sustainable Advanced Materials) has the overall vision of creating a truly world-class research capability for Wales in the area of next generation optoelectronics and bioelectronics. The program has been designed to address and exploit tangible technology opportunities in application areas ranging from clean energy, to sensing, through to nanohealth – all enabled by the highest quality basic science in advanced materials as measured by international benchmarks. The program recognises local excellence, existing strategic investment, and national, regional and institutional priorities.This Tender is for the supply of a Laser Combiner unit with 5 integrated laser sources for the new Physics lab which is due to open on 3rd November 2017 in the Centre of NanoHealth building on the University’s Singleton campus (please see Building 36 on the Singleton Campus Plan provided). It is therefore essential that the successful supplier has sufficient capacity to deliver prior to this November date.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
