Tender for Provision of Taxi Services (Dual Campus)

Swansea University wish to source and appoint a suitable Taxi Services provider, with the necessary experience and professional expertise to maintain a ranked taxi service at each of the two main Swansea University campuses. The appointed provider will also become the approved supplier to University departments as well as the Student Union, for both staff and student taxi journeys, and will actively support the Safer Student scheme, coordinated by the Swansea University Student UnionThe scope of this contract includes:- exclusive ‘right to rank’ within the designated ranks at both campuses between hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday- provision and maintenance of free phone in Fulton House foyer (Singleton campus),- ‘approved’ Taxi supplier to University departments for staff and student work journeys- full support of Swansea University Student Union safe student service for exchanging home journey on surrender of SUSU card- coverage of staff, student and conference guest requirements at the Hendrefoilen Student Village site (no formal ranking provision)The contract duration will be for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 12 months, and the intention is for the appointed provider to commence the contract at the earliest opportunity post-tender award.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
