Tender for supply of high-temperature, visualisation furnace

Descriptions

A high-temperature, visualisation furnace is required which can be used to study pyranometry and digital imaging of physical and chemical processes taking place in samples such as coal, coke, biomass, paper, plastic, tyres and/or related materials under controlled gaseous atmospheres and heating rates. The instrument must be reliable and easy to clean and maintain to ensure sample throughput. The high-temperature, visualisation furnace must be able to heat solid samples at controlled heating rates from ambient to 1800°C in controlled gas atmospheres in a sealed system. The sealed system needs to have interfaces to allow gas ingress and egress. The system must also have at least 2 windows to enable pyranometry and/or digital imaging of the solid samples during heating under controlled atmospheres. The system should also be capable of running under vacuum and it should have sealable interface ports through which gas sensors (e.g. pressure or oxygen sensors) could be fitted it required.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
