The proposed project arises out of the requirements for flexible real-time distribution network simulation and real-time control solutions that can be deployed at two sites:These requirements will be addressed through the purchasing of one Real Time Computer Platforms capable of performing Real Time Network Simulation (RTNS) and Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP). To maximise flexibility the hardware platform should also have the capability to operate the two tasks simultaneously and provide extended RTNS capabilities (using the RCP hardware to provide additional processing power for RTNS) and also extended RCP capabilities (using the RTNS hardware to provide additional processing power for RCP). Thus, the system should be complementary, upgradable and able to interface and operate simultaneously in a straightforward manner.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
