Descriptions
The town of Ferndale is undertaking a process of physical transformation. Public sector funding has enabled physical regeneration in the town, with significant enhancements including the Strand, the High Street, the Library and the Lime Street pedestrian walkway. Further phases of regeneration works include the Darran Park gateway, where links from the town centre to the park will be improved through enhanced public realm works. Local distinctiveness will be reinforced through the incorporation of artistically designed visually attractive gates to improve access to the park, in addition to highlighting various routes to the park through decorative way finders inset into the paving.
