Tender for the design and supply of a small all electric injection moulding machine and too

Descriptions

To expand the research activity at The College of Engineering, Swansea University requires the purchase of a new injection moulding machine. At present, Swansea University has research excellence within the field of computational polymer processing and material characterisation. However, to complement the aforementioned expertise requires the replacement of the current injection moulding facilities with a system that reflects state-of-the-art within polymer processing. An all-electric 50 tonne injection moulding machine that would have a variothermal interface, thin walled component process capability, optical component capability, high accuracy (parallelism) and low energy consumption is required to meet the technological challenges within advanced polymer processing.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
