Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invited tenders for the design, development, delivery and evaluation of a PEACEPLUS 'Language Support Programme'. The provision of English language classes in an informal setting for people from Ethnic Minority backgrounds to provide them with the confidence to ultimately engage with other communities/individuals who they would not normally socialise with.
The programme will revive single identity groups and individuals to engage and integrate into wider society. Within this programme, there is an opportunity for individuals to learn new languages and engage in conversations with people from ethnic minority groups whose first language is not English. The setting for project activity should include options for conversational language skills to be developed in comfortable surroundings.
