Tender for the Design, Supply and Installation of Structured Cabling Systems.

This tender is for a framework agreement to supply and install TE Connectivity (SCS) Structured Cabling Systems at UCL and their partner sites e.g. (IoN) Institute of Neurology (ICH) Institute of Child Health and other medical or similar institutions. UCL intends to appoint three suppliers for this contract, and to initiate mini-tenders for packages of work that are available during this contract. The intention is that these packages of work will be vary in cost GBP 250.00 – GBP 250,000 in value but they may be less or more. Some packages will be UCL led (UCL issue the purchase order directly) and some for larger construction and refurbishment projects will be Estates led via a main contractor who will be instructed to use the suppliers listed under this framework.The objectives of this tender are to provide a competitive framework to ensure transparent and cost-effective pricing whilst maintaining high quality standards, and to ensure that there is sufficient supplier capacity available for the forthcoming range of structured cabling projects that UCL will be pursuing.Over the next few years there will be exceptional growth in the UCL estate compared to previous years and UCL are looking for suitably qualified contractors who are capable of installing and managing small, medium and large passive network installations.
