Monmouthshire County Council is required by law provide a dog warden service to take in and look after any stray dogs in the county. This tendering opportunity is seeking a kennelling service to provide this service on behalf of Monmouthshire County Council.In 2015 Monmouthshire County Council took in 94 dogs throughout the year. These were then either reunited with their owners, passed on to an animal charity for rehoming. Euthanasia will only be carried out if the dog is too unwell or injured to be rehomed and not as an alternative to rehoming.
