TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF DAY NURSERY FACILITIES FOR MORRISTON HOSPITAL

Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board is advertising a business opportunity to provide a modern Day Nursery facility for the benefit of its staff. This initiative will also support the re-development that is taking place at Morriston Hospital, Swansea and the ability of the Health Board to attract and retain staff.The Health Board is looking to commission a minimum of 30 places for the use by its staff. The Nursery facilities should be within reasonable proximity to the Morriston site and convenient and accessible for Health Board staff. In order to offer bidders flexibility in how this service is provided, the Health Board will consider allocating an area of land on the Morriston site for the bidders to consider the option of commissioning a building, suitable to accommodate the minimum of 30 day nursery placements. If bidders wish to consider this option of commissioning a building on the Morriston site, the Health Board will provide the land for a period of 25 years. Any service will be required to be operational from April 2013. Bids from existing nursery services are welcome. The new service is for staff benefit and the Health Board will be looking for advantageous financial terms for staff and the quality and flexibility of provision to support its staff in balancing family and work life.
