We required an Internal Audit service to provide an “independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve Social Care Wales’s operations; to meet our objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes”. This assurance is a key element of the framework of assurance that the Accounting Officer (Chief Executive) needs to inform their completion of the annual Governance Statement.Further information was contained in the specification.
