The Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating based in the College of Engineering wishes to purchase a sheet fed laboratory press for the printing of functional inks. The system will feature interchangeable printing modules for flexographic, rotogravure and rotary screen printing and will be capable of printing onto a variety of substrates such as plastic films and flexible glass. This document is set out to establish the specification for system.This equipment will be installed in the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (WCPC) in their new bespoke designed facility that will form a core part of Swansea University’s £450M Bay Campus development. The facility infrastructure will be open in September of 2015 with equipment installations expected to be carried out between July and October. As such, particular attention will be paid to commitments to planning and implementation of delivery, installation and commissioning by the supplier.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
