The University wishes to establish a framework for the 'Provision of Specialist TemporaryAgency Early Years Practitioners' using the OPEN procurement procedure.The University of Birmingham (UoB) has three-day nurseries; The Oaks, The Elms, and TheMaples Day Nurseries all of which are / have:• members of the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) - the national charityrepresenting children's day nurseries across the UK, which promotes quality in early yearscare and education for the benefit of children, their families, and the local community.• All our staff members are paediatric first aid trained• Operation Encompass setting and NSPCC Graded Care Profile trained• Secure entry by fob only and 24-hour CCTVWe are dedicated to providing high quality childcare, which offers each individual child asafe, secure, and caring environment. We provide a comprehensive range of stimulating andpurposeful opportunities and experiences that allows each child to explore and pursue theirown interests and goals to promote and enhance all aspects of their individual development.Page 4 to 8Our mission is to provide high quality, inclusive childcare and education for University ofBirmingham staff and students as well as parents in the local community. Our highly trainedeam use their skills, warmth, and passion to apply the National Framework for early yearswhich are underpinned by our nursery values.Our aim is to help your child develop physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionallyhelping to prepare them for their future at school and beyond. We understand that each andevery child needs a happy, healthy environment for learning and playing and our daynurseries are dedicated to helping parents provide just that. Children benefit immenselyfrom the rich, stimulating environment and the wealth of learning opportunities that areavailable to them. The government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the frameworkhe nursery follows to provide that assurance.The children are surrounded by their peers and dedicated practitioners to allow them todevelop at their own pace.
