Tender for the supply and installation of a frequency comb for the translation of an optical clock l

Descriptions

This specification outlines the requirements for the supply and installation of a frequency comb able to transfer optical frequency stability to the RF domain to the University of Birmingham. The system should: i) provide an interface between optical and microwave frequencies allowing to transfer stability at the level of 1 in 1017 or better. Example: Our desired final output could be a 10 MHz sine wave 1V p-p into 50[] load, or alternatively a 1pps signal with the stability of a sub-Hz linedwidth clock laser; ii) provide a robust, temperature stabilized fully automated turn key system; iii) and provide a suitable user software, PC and display for system control and data acquisition.
