This equipment is being purchased from a grant provided by the Faraday Institution. Funding is available for the purchase of this equipment. This equipment is being purchased from a grant provided by the Faraday Institution who will advise on the final selection of the supplier. The University of Birmingham invites tenders for design and supply of a bespoke lithium ion battery testing chamber. This unit will be used to shred lithium ion cells designed for use in electric vehicles in a range of conditions (new and end-of-life). The overall requirements of the test chamber are defined below but we would like as part of the project to build strong partnerships with the technology providers so that we can secure the design and supply of a system that can be adopted for a range of battery testing applications..
