Welsh Government has allocated Western Bay Carers Partnership £179,000 for 2018 /19 to work collaboratively with all partners to enhance the lives of carers in line with national priorities. The funding is available in the following categories:-All Carers - £163,434.75-Young Carers - £15,565.25Tenders are invited to address these priorities in particular with a focus on:-Work with partners to implement a scheme that supports GP practices to develop carer awareness and ways of working to support carers including recognition of the work undertaken e.g. a Carer Awareness Recognition Award Scheme-Support for carers to facilitate discharge and upon discharge from hospital-Identification and support of carers in primary, secondary and tertiary education-Proactive interventions with carers at a pre-assessment / triage phase to help individuals access relevant support and make an informed choice.You must be able to deliver the project by 31st March 2019By tendering for funds towards delivery of a project, it is important any proposals are in line with one or more of the principles and priorities from the lists below.The following principles list Welsh Government’s Priorities for CarersSupporting life alongside caring. All carers must have reasonable breaks from their caring role to enable them to maintain their capacity to care, and to have a life beyond caring.Identifying and recognising carers. Fundamental to the success of delivering improved outcomes for carers is the need to improve carer’s recognition of their role and to ensure they can access the necessary support.Information, advice and assistance. It is important that carers receive the appropriate information and advice where and when they need it.The following list details Western Bay’s Valuing Carers priorities. Your project must meet one or more of these priorities.Ensure work continues to promote early recognition of Carers and Young Carers so that they are signposted to information and support in a timely manner.Develop and continue to provide information, advice, assistance and support to Carers and Young Carers enabling them to make informed choices and maintain their own health and well-being.Work co-productively with the Carers on an individual and strategic basis so that their contribution is acknowledged and voice is heard.Information, support and or activities for Young CarersThere is no maximum tender level however projects will be considered in the context of value for money direct impact and outcomes for carers and ensuring consistency and parity of services across the Western Bay footprint.It will be necessary to complete a separate tender document for each project proposal.PLEASE NOTE: ABMU is commissioning the service on behalf of Western Bay Carers Partnership and is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process, this is a separate website and if you are not already registered, registration will be required.Suitably qualified and experienced providers are invited to participate in the contract opportunity and submit proposals for meeting the Health Board’s requirement.
