NHS Knowsley CCG has a requirement for a borough wide, consultant led, Community Respiratory Disease Service to contribute to its overall plans to improve health outcomes for its population. Specifically, the CCG seeks to reduce premature deaths from respiratory conditions and decrease unnecessary emergency demand within secondary care through improved diagnosis, treatment and management, which is accessible and meets the expectations of both patients and the public in Knowsley in respect of their experience of the service. The Commissioner is looking for bidders to demonstrate how they will work innovatively with primary, secondary and community care, plus third and other sector partners, to improve respiratory outcomes for Knowsley residents. The contract will be awarded on a 65 month basis, starting with one five-month period, followed by five full years.The projected annual spend is indicative and is based upon Commissioners’ assumptions regarding phased mobilisation of the service. Bidders will be required to set their own price based upon their mobilisation plans.
