In March 2016, the Commissioner launched her ‘Dementia: More Than Just Memory Loss’ report. One of the key areas identified by people living with dementia and their carers as a significant issue was the lack of flexible, enabling and personalised respite care.The Commissioner would like to build on this work and is therefore seeking tenders for the organisation and facilitation of a series of engagement events with people living with dementia and their carers to find out what respite means to them, as well as exploring potential solutions that they believe could enable people affected by dementia to enjoy a better quality of life/sense of wellbeing.
