The London Borough of Merton is seeking to procure a Building Fabric Repairs and Maintenance of Non-Housing properties in the London Borough of Merton under the JCT Measured Term Contract 2006 Revision 2, 2009, using the National Schedule of Rates 2010-2011.The Employers main aims and objectives for the service are:— That the Council's public buildings are kept in good repair and maintained to high standards;— That client departments and occupiers receive a responsive, value for money service with reported repairs carried out within agreed time scales to a satisfactory standard;— That safe working practices are adopted in carrying out repair works;— That the highest standard of customer care and communication are applied to all operations.The Contract length will be for 3 years, with an option to extend for a further period of 2 years. The anticipated commencement date for the contract will be 4.10.2015.The current cost of the current service is approximately 1 200 000 GBP per annum, which is made up of approximately 1 100 000 GBP of planned maintenance and project works and 100 000 GBP of reactive repairs.In summary the services required under this contract will be as follows:— Day-to-day repairs and maintenance;— Out of hours emergency response service;— Routine planned maintenance;— Minor works and refurbishment projects;— The provision of a multiskilled operative to be directed and managed by FM 35 hrs per week.
