Riversmead Housing Association (RHA) is a registered housing provider which owns and manages approximately 4 500 properties in Hertfordshire. RHA is a member of the Network Group, which collectively manages approximately 19 000 properties in total.RHA entered into a contract for repairs and maintenance services in respect of its properties in 2013. The successful contractor pursuant to that procurement process was MCP Property Service Limited.RHA intends to add approximately 2 200 properties in the area of East London adjoining the area currently covered by its repairs and maintenance contract. These properties are currently owned by Network Stadium Housing Association, another member of the Network Group. It is intended that in April 2016 the Network Group will be collapsed, with 1 organisation replacing RHA and Network Stadium Housing Association and owning both the original properties and the properties to be added through the variation. In addition, RHA proposes to move from a schedule of rates-based pricing mechanism to an open book pricing mechanism. RHA anticipates that significant savings will be achieved by moving to an open book approach.
