The National Measurement & Regulation Office (NMRO) (formerly the National Measurement Office) has a requirement for the testing of a selection of fridge freezers to verify compliance with the following regulations: •EC No 643/2009 (Ecodesign requirements for household refrigerating appliances). •EU No 1060/2010 (Energy labelling of household refrigerating appliances) Testing may be used as part of a criminal investigation. Therefore the supplier must confirm that they can fulfil the evidential traceability requirements laid out in ISO 17025 for supplying evidence that may be used as part of a prosecution.
