Descriptions
Minesto has developed a 500kW tidal power plant in form of a “flying” kite tethered to the sea bottom. The kite is attached to the bottom joint using a tether. The tether is comprised of a poly-urethane fairing enclosing a fibre load-carrier, power cables, optical fibre signal cables and sensors.This tender is for detail design and fabrication of a Tether Load Carrier for the COAS3 project.
