TfGM required a supplier to alter the layout of the current control room tat 2 Piccadilly Place. The works are required to accommodate additional staff, operators, and other personnel to meet business needs. The works involve the part removal of an existing partition, the removal and changing of floor tiles and floor sockets, the building of a new partition including fire doors and all associated works to ensure that the new layout is as sound proofed as possible. These works need to be completed prior to the Tranche 2 of bus franchising commencement on the 23rd of March 2023, Due to the estimated cost of these works being well below WTO thresholds, a discreet / closed competition was undertaken using a number of selected local contractors.
