The Swansea Leader’ is a key communication tool for the Council of the City and County of Swansea (‘The Council’) and its punctual delivery to residential properties each month is therefore seen as a corporate priority.The Swansea Leader is published six times a year by the City & County of Swansea in January, March, May, July, September and November. It is distributed to approximately 106,000 homes within the local authority’s boundary.It is a full-colour tabloid newspaper printed on the Council’s behalf under a separate contract with a printer. The successful bidder for the distribution contract will be expected to work closely with the successful bidder for the print contract in order to ensure continuity of delivery of the distribution contract. By way of guidance it is anticipated the distribution of the newspaper to all homes will be complete within three weeks from the first delivery of the publication to the distribution contractor by the print contractor. Bidders should state in their tender how long they expect the distribution process to take in accordance with the method statement below.
