The EPA requires a technically qualified resource to provide assistance to the Environmental Radiation Monitoring Programme.The resource will be required to carry out laboratory work and other duties which may include but are not limited to:•Radiochemical analyses of food, water and biota samples as part of the radiation monitoring laboratory’s environmental and marine monitoring programmes. •Assist in the development and validation of new radiochemical analytical techniques for drinking water analyses.•Assist in the compliance of the radiation monitoring laboratory’s ISO 17025 accredited quality system through the routine quality assurance, quality control and preventative maintenance of the laboratory equipment and participation in audits. •Undertaking other duties that may be assigned from time to time relating to the scope of this work.Relevant experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited environment or equivalent is essential. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate experience in validating methods to meet the requirements of ISO 17025.
