The purpose of the brief is to write a Management and Maintenance Plan for the project. HLF funding divides a project into two phases: the Development and Delivery Phase. This consultancy will be appointed for the Development Phase of the project to: • research the background to the project • review of the collections, proposed new building and activities • consultation with staff and stakeholders to understand the management issues • consult with partners who might be able to help deliver the Plan • identify any risks to the heritage • formulate management and maintenance aims • draw up an action plan to manage and maintain the collections, building and activities over a ten year period • identify costs and resources.
