Leitrim County Council intends to appoint a suitabily qualified building contractor to carry out the construction works of the Junction Project at Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim.The project comprises the following :- Block A - Refurbishment of Coach Workshop Building- Block B - Refurbishment and new extension of Railway Station Building- All associated external works, including civic plazaBLOCK A – single storey stone building, with 2 levels of flat roof construction, refurbishment and demolition works of the former Coach Workshop House (former school use), A Protected Structure. To provide a new enterprise centre and artist workshop and ancillary accommodation. BLOCK B – a single-storey/two-storey brick building with pitched roofs. Refurbishment, demolition and new single storey extension works to the former Railway Station Building (former school use), A Protected Structure.To provide new Youth Centre and office/multipurpose accommodation, reception, wet areas, kitchen facilities and associated ancillary accommodation and services.EXTERNAL WORKS -site works, including upgrading and demolition works related to existing boundary walls to Newtowngore Road and Railway Road, site services and drainage, civic plaza, external finishes and soft and hard landscaping, and ancillary services, as required. The project contract shall be procured using a two-stage tender process, where Stage 1 being the pre-qualification process based on quality and relevant experience and Stage 2 is submission of tender price by contractors who pre-qualify at Stage 1. The contractor will be required to manage and deliver the construction, carry out the role of PSCS, required under the Construction Regulations 2013, and assist and provide final certification under the Building Control Amendment Regulations (BcAR) to the Design Team.
