The Maintenance and Improvement of Street Lighting and Illuminated Traffic Signs

Two Local authorities in South East Wales are collaboratively inviting expressions of interest to provide services relating to the maintenance and installation of road lighting equipment, illuminated traffic signs, bollards, subway lighting, school crossing flashing warning signs, refuge island beacons and other associated highway related electrical lighting equipment. The contract also covers motorways and trunk roads within East South Wales. This includes maintenance of tunnel lighting at M4 Brynglas, Newport and A40 Gibraltar, Monmouth. The arrangement will include individual services packages, delivering Engineering Maintenance services to the Contracting Authority, for roads and associated structures on an ad-hoc basis, in line with the scope of service. Suppliers will be required to communicate directly with the Contracting Authority.Detailed information regarding the service specification will be provided at the time the service package becomes available
