The Prince’s Trust is calling for proposals to evaluate the Enterprise Programme in Wales, which is in large funded by the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO). WEFO has provided ESF funds to the Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme since April 2008. WEFO provides funding to the programme through two separate funding contracts, one to cover Competitiveness areas and one to cover Convergence areas of Wales.The Prince’s Trust is commissioning an evaluation to provide evidence of outcomes for The Prince’s Trust and WEFO. As the programme model changed fundamentally in 2009 and has now been running for a couple of years, this study is being commissioned to ensure the sustainability of the Enterprise Programme and effectively evaluate how it is working.The evaluation will comprise of:•a process evaluation to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the new programme model and identify learning for future development; and•an outcomes evaluation to explore and understand the outcomes for young people achieved by the programme in Wales.Evaluation aimsThe evaluation aims to:•identify good practice, areas for improvement and learning to inform any future developments of the programme;•provide evidence for The Trust of the outcomes achieved for young people.Evaluation objectivesWe expect the research to address the objectives outlined below.
