The provision of a cycle hire and pedalo hire facility at Parc Bryn Bach

Blaenau Gwent CBC (acting on behalf of Aneurin Leisure) are looking to appoint an experienced company to provide leisure related services at a leading leisure establishments (Parc Bryn Bach).The Authority is looking for a company to provide the following 2 services at Bryn Bach Park.1) A cycle hire and maintenance service.At present Aneurin Leisure has a bike facility at Bryn Bach Park which offers a cycle maintenance service which covers all cycle repairs including wheel building and fork maintenance. It also operates a cycle hire facility with all types of recreational cycles being made available including adapted bikes for people with disabilities. Our staff are fully qualified bike technicians and are trained to deliver disability cycle awareness courses.The authority is therefore looking for a company who can provide all that is in operation at the moment and to enhance the existing service.The opening times we operate are-November through to easter holidays: Wed, Friday, Sat & Sun 10am - 3pmeaster to October: Mon through to Sunday 10am - 6pmDuring the summer we normally do 60-70 hires per day (weather permitting)2) A pedalo hire and maintenance service.This service would need to be operational each weekend, weather depending, from easter through to the end of September. 10am until 5pmDuring school holiday periods pedalos would need to be available from Monday to Sunday 10am until 5pmThe successful applicant would be responsible for all aspects relating to health and safety of the use of the pedalos and also the full maintenance of the equipment.The successful applicant would also need to be a qualified person to oversee the water safety.Last year we had an average of 60 hires a day (weather permitting)
