The Provision of a Rotary Wing Command Support Air Transport Service.

Helicopters. The UK MoD has a requirement for industry to provide a Rotary Wing Command Support Air Transport (RW CSAT) service, based at RAF Northolt, comprising the following:a) Approximately 500 flying hours per year to be provided by a single, dedicated aircraft, anticipated to be MRCO (Military Registered Civil Owned);b) All support and maintenance activities required to ensure that the aircraft will be available for tasking;c) Provision of aircrew training for the military pilots who will be flying the aircraft and performing the task;d) Provision of an alternative aircraft during times of maintenance.The aircraft must be able to carry a minimum of 3 passengers for a distance of 150nm. The aircraft will be provided with data to support Performance Class 1 operations, and undertake tasking that includes the congested area of the London Control Zone and sites that are limited in both size and accessibility.The RW CSAT aircraft must be capable of twin pilot operation and able to conduct night/day and Instrument Flight Rules tasking.
